After much investigation and using my keen mental abilities, I believe I've pieced together what transpired. Weegor coming forward also helped. But since he isn’t great with words, let me share his account.
We all love Weegor, but he often forgets to plan for Valentine's Day and other holidays ahead of time. For instance, last Christmas he gave me a burnt piece of toast on January 23. So as usual, Weegor was running behind on his Valentine's Day cards.
Weegor decided to come into the factory late and work on his Valentine's Cards. He was especially excited to make a card for his beloved master, Dr. Wiggenstein. To put him in the mood, he decided to work by candle light and play some upbeat 80's love ballads. Everything was going fine till Weegor, who loves to dance, started practicing some of his new moves and knocked over some of the candles.
As you can imagine, the Valentine Factory is filled with dry paper of every color and style. This caused the fire to spread before poor Weegor could put it out. Weegor was lucky to escape unharmed, but the factory was not so lucky.
After consulting with the Bigwig, we have determined that the damage caused by the fire is too extensive and the factory will be allowed to finish burning. This will give us room to rebuild something new and exciting.
I want to thank Weegor for his honesty coming forward and telling me what happened. That is a great example to all of us. Honesty is always the best policy! I also want to thank you! Our earth agents showed a lot of concern and a strong desire to help with the fire. That is a great example of service and helping others.
Since the building will be allowed to burn, please come back and check on its progress. I'm sure something great will rise from the ashes!
