If I Wrote BigWig’s Blog…

Hello, Earth Agents!

This week’s blog post will be different than normal because I am out of the office.  Don’t believe me?  Then check out this great photo of me waving from the beach:

BigWigVacation

Do you know where I am?  Because I sure don’t!  I was supposed to be in an important meeting, but I ended up on this beach instead.  I knew I should have made a left turn at Albuquerque...

Well, it’s a good thing that I’m already red-colored because it covers up the nice RED sunburn that I’m getting out here!  Ouch!

Because of my trip, I’ve decided to change things this week!  I normally write a message to you about all the cool stuff happening in Woogi World.  But not this week!

This week it’s your turn to write to me!!!

At the bottom of this blog post, you’ll see a Comments link:

Blog---Comments

Click on the link and you can write a message to me and any other Earth Agents reading BigWig’s Blog!

I would like your comments this week to start with these words:

 IfIWrote

If you could write a BigWig’s Blog post, what would it be about?

Would you tell a story about the Woogi World celebrities?  Who would be in the story?  What happens to them?

Would you share an idea for making Woogi World more fun?  What’s the idea?  How does it work?

Would you recruit Woogies for a top secret project?  What’s the project?  How would Woogies help?

Would you share some Woogi World photos?  What would be in the photos?

Would you talk about a new club?  What’s it called?  What would you do in the club?

There’s so many possibilities!  I can’t wait to read what you write!

Be as creative as you can and write a comment!  Maybe I’ll even use your blog idea in a future BigWig’s Blog!!

Until next time, Earth Agents!

Movie Madness at Woogi World!

Hi there, Earth Agents!

Did you ever notice that the best movies always seem to come out in the Summer?  That’s the time of year when Hollywood shows their biggest and best movies.  They call them summer blockbusters.

FilmForum Woogi World isn’t Hollywood, but we have lots of good movies too!  And not just during the Summer!

Yesterday a new movie called
“Critter Quest: Forage” opened in the Movie Theater for Earth Day.  Have you watched it yet?

If you haven’t seen the new movie yet, it’s really good!  Wally Woog reviewed it in this week’s newspaper, but I think YY should have reviewed it instead because it was all about squirrels!

Squirrel2 Squirrel1

The best part about watching movies in Woogi World’s Movie Theater is that it doesn’t cost any money to see them!  Actually Woogi World gives you watts when you watch a movie!

MovieTheaterExt
To watch a movie, all you have to do is go to the Movie Theater and then click on the name of the movie that you want to see.  It’s like having a movie theater all to yourself!  (Don’t forget the popcorn!)

SmithsonianChannel “Critter Quest: Forage” was given to Woogi World by the Smithsonian Channel.  They have lots of cool shows about nature, animals, and the planet Earth.

If you liked the new movie, then I have GOOD NEWS for you!  Woogi World is going to show a NEW MOVIE from the Smithsonian Channel EVERY WEEK for the next 3 months!

Even though there’s lots of new movies coming, don’t forget about reading every day!  We really need your help if we’re going to read 1 billion minutes together for the Billion Minute Reading Challenge!

ReadingCounterSome of you have asked what stuff counts as reading minutes...

The answer is: THEY ALL DO!  As long as what you’re reading has words, it can count as reading minutes!  Even reading this blog counts as reading minutes!  Cool, huh?

Okay, that’s it for this week!  Did you like “Critter Quest: Forage” as much as me?  Are you excited about a new movie every week?  Let’s hear about it in the Comments section!

Until next time, Earth Agents!

Are You Ready for a Challenge?

Hi there, Earth Agents!

Last week’s Easter Party was very exciting!  I was happy to meet so many of you and I thought your Easter outfits looked great!

rlgl_eggs

This week, I’ve got something BRAND NEW to tell you about!

DEARBannerWoogi World has joined with D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read) to present the first-ever…

Billion Minute Reading Challenge!!

A billion minutes might seem like a lot, but if every Woogi reads a little bit every day, then together we can reach our goal.  The goal is to read one billion minutes before the end of Summer!

We need your help, Earth Agents!

Here’s what you need to do:

  • Book Read something every day.
It can be a book or a short story or a poem  or a newspaper or a magazine.  It can be ANYTHING that you want to read!

  • WoogiReader Go to Woogi World after reading.
After you’ve finished your reading for the day, then log onto Woogi World and go to the Woogi Readers Club.  In the club is a device called the Reading Log.

  • ReadingLogDevice Add your minutes to the Reading Log.
Click on the Reading Log and enter ALL the minutes that you read that day.  Make sure to do this EVERY DAY after reading!

This is what the Reading Log looks like.  The Reading Log is where you will enter your reading minutes every day:

ReadingLog

When you enter your minutes in the Reading Log, they will automatically be added to everyone else’s minutes.  You can see how many minutes everyone has read by looking at this counter:

ReadingCounter

This counter will be on the Reading Log and in the Woogi World Weekly newspaper.  It’s nice because it will always tell us how close we are to reaching our goal!

BeltsSomething else that’s cool:

Every time that you add minutes in the Reading Log, it helps you advance in the Woogi Readers Club!  You can earn belts and club prizes while you help Woogi World reach its one billion minute goal!

Are YOU ready to be a part of the Billion Minute Reading Challenge?  If you are, What are you going to do to help us reach one billion reading minutes? Talk about it in the Comments section!

Until next time, Earth Agents!

Hop to It, Earth Agents!

Hi, Earth Agents!

I’ve really enjoyed reading all your comments!  You have so many good ideas about how to make Woogi World even more fun!

wwweaster
I also have some exciting news this week.  Woogi World is going to have an Easter Party on Saturday!  I’m sure you’ve read all about it in the newspaper already.  If you haven’t, you should!  They even quoted me in one of the articles!  Pretty cool, huh?

WOOGI WORLD’S EASTER PARTY!!
Saturday, April 11
1-3 pm (Pacific Time)
In Wooglantis

And if you thought it couldn’t get any better… it can!  I will be at the party on Saturday!  I can’t wait to chat with all of you and maybe even play some games!

I won’t be alone though.  Other Woogi celebrities will be joining us for the party too!  That way, if I start to bore you, you can go visit another celebrity at the party.  That’s just good party planning!

WishingWell

One last thing… the Wishing Well is giving out TWO Easter Gifts on Saturday!  It will give out one gift in the morning before the party and another gift at night after the party.

Woogi World Weekly couldn’t tell you WHAT those gifts are because Woogi World Weekly doesn’t have secret Woogi spies like I do!  So I sent them out to do a little “reconnaissance” at the Wishing Well.  Here’s what they found:

eastergift1melted eastergift2melted

It’s too bad that most of the spy photos melted.  These were the best ones they could show me.  Even though I don’t know what they are, I still think the two gifts look neat!

Maybe you can help me out… What do you think the two Easter gifts are going to be on Saturday?  Write a Comment and let me know!

Until next time, Earth Agents!

Cosmic Rays Cause Rodent Infestation!

Hello, Earth Agents!

Did you experience yesterday’s surprise on Woogi World?  It looks like some cosmic waves got a bit too close to the Planet Woog and transformed it into the Planet YY!  Take a look:

aprilfoolsyyAll the Woogies became squirrels that looked just like YY!  It was the weirdest thing ever!

I asked YY what he thought about it, but I couldn’t understand what he said.  He kind of mumbles when he talks…  So I asked him to write it down instead.  Here is what he wrote:

celebs_5 “I bet the Woogies are confused about it, but for me it’s really nice!  It makes me feel like I’m back home on the Planet KZZPLYX.  I miss my planet, but I’m happy that I can share my music with all the Woogies on the Planet Woog too.”

Hopefully, the cosmic rays disappear soon.  In my opinion, Woogies should look like Woogies!  Not squirrels!

Lucky for us, the cosmic rays didn’t affect Woogi World celebrities.  This means that Dr. Wiggenstein and Weegor were still able to work on improvements to Woogi World!  I called Dr. Wiggenstein and he told me:

celebs_0 “When I am done, Woogi World will look brand new!  I’ve already worked on the Woog… *crackle, crackle* and the S… *crackle, crackle* and they both turned out better than expected!”

I wish I could have heard him better, but it was a phone interview and we lost reception for part of it.  Probably from all those pesky cosmic waves!  Oh well, I guess I’ll have to ask him about it later.

Last week, I asked you to guess what Dr. Wiggenstein is changing in Woogi World.  You can read the guesses at this link:

Last Week's Blog Comments!

Blog-LogoYour guesses were incredible!  Even though some guesses are wrong, my Woogi spies tell me that some guesses are real close… while some are 100% right!  So the question is: Which ones are right and which are wrong?

Click on the Comments link at the bottom of this blog post to write a new comment!

This week I’d like to know: What guesses from last week do you think are right?  Any totally new guesses?  I think all this guessing is so much fun!!

Until next time, Earth Agents!
