An Old Favorite Returns!

Astute Woogies may have noticed the new building under
construction next to the Woogi Readers Club.

 

The Valentine Factory is returning to Woogi World on Friday!

 

Inside the Valentine Factory, you can print out personalized
Valentine cards for all the special people in your life!

 

But I’d print them soon. The Valentine Factory is quickly
becoming known as the unluckiest building on Woogi World!
(At least this year, it’ll be free of mutant termites... we hope!)

The Start of Brand New Fun!

Starting on Saturday, the members of Dr. Wiggenstein’s
Beta Tester Club will be able to host their own beta tests
of the soon-to-be-released multiplayer game, Hide & Sneak!

 

In the game, Woogies are a Hider (Wally Woog) or a Seeker (YY).

 

Hiders move around the map until they are tagged by a Seeker.

 

There are lots of different maps and that is part of the reason
why the game is being tested early. When everything is ready,
then the game will be available for everyone to play!

 

For this beta test, only Woogi Honors members can play.
Just look for a Woogi holding the Hide & Sneak game flag!

 

The beta test will last for a week, so it’s the perfect time
to get Woogi Honors and try this new game early!

A Little Bit About Wally Woog

Wally Woog is best known on Woogi World for writing the
Woogi World Weekly newspaper and the helpful Woogipedia.

 

He is the author of many best-selling books, such as
“The SpaceWoog Saga” and “All the King's Woogies.”

 

After being the Featured Celebrity in this week’s newspaper,
many Woogies requested Wally’s help with their writing skills.

 

So I invited Wally Woog to my blog this week to share some
of his excellent writing tips with my dear readers!

Wally’s Write Right Way to Write!

Here are some helpful tips on how to become good writers:

1. Always write something every day, no matter how silly.
A good way to do this is to have a writing notebook.

 

2. Write about things that you know or see around you.
Your own experiences can make really good stories!

 

3. Read a lot of books, even ones that you think you won’t like.
Reading can really help you learn what makes good writing.

 

4. If you’re writing a story, make sure there is conflict.
Conflict is the obstacle, like a villain, that’s in the way of your
character reaching their goal. It makes stories a lot more exciting!

 

5. Good writing involves re-writing.
Always find ways to improve your writing and don’t be
afraid to redo parts of it to make it absolutely perfect!

Are any new buildings coming to
Woogi World this year?

BigWig’s Answer:

According to my Woogi spies, the answer is yes!

I don’t have much information yet, so maybe
you can help me figure out what it’ll be...

What I Know So Far

Information about the new building (if there is one coming)
is top secret, even for the leader of Woogi World!

 

My Woogi spy sources believe that CyberHero may
or may not be involved in its construction.

 

It seems that Sector 7Z (the hidden home of Woogi spy
training and surveillance monitoring) might be the only
place more secure than this new building.

 

Now that the Woogi Nations and English Club buildings
have filled the bottom right corner, nobody knows
where a new building will fit on the map!

 

Even my Woogi spies are baffled by what’s happening here...
None of us know for sure if there really is a new building,
when it would be coming, or what would be inside it, but
it’s certainly not going to be some ordinary place!

 

I know you’re not my Woogi spies (or are you?), but maybe you
can give me some guesses about what could be coming in the
Comments section of this blog post?

Pulling the Plug on Holiday Lights

Hello again, Earth Agents!

Now that the holidays are over,
it’s time for the festive holiday
lights around Woogi World to
be taken down...

I sure am going to miss them!

A Last Look at the Lights

The holiday lights around Woogi World really do make everything
seem a little brighter. Here are some of my favorite displays:

These stores are cleverly decorated, but I’d be careful if I were
that snowman. Hot cocoa and snow aren’t a good combination!

 

Someone’s been up on the rooftop of the Movie Theater...
Was it the Light Brigade installing decorations, or someone else?

 

After seeing its fun holiday display, maybe the Trading Card
Outpost should start thinking about selling greeting cards too!

 

The Xoogi reindeer are an incredibly clever display, but will the
snowmen ever learn that beautiful hair is not worth melting over?

The Lights’ Last Day

If you want to see the lights one last time (and maybe even
take a photo or two while you’re at it), you better do it soon!

The last day to see the lights is Friday, January 11!

 

Then the plug will be pulled, the lights will go out,
and all that will be left is the snow.

(Well, at least until the next winter when the
lights WILL return to Woogi World! Yay!)

10. Celebrity Woogilympics

For the first time in history, every Woogi celebrity competed in
a special Woogilympics event, cheered on by spectating fans.
Ultimately, it was YY who would take home the gold medal!

9. U.S. Presidential Election

Woogies got to cast their votes for the next U.S. President in the
Voting Booth, an event that happens only once every 4 years!

8. Woogichievement Prizes

The DigiWoog’s Woogichievements app got a major upgrade this
year that shows which Woogichievements give a prize. As a
special bonus, you can even see what the prize looks like by
moving your cursor over the Woogichievement’s prize icon!

7. English Club Additions

The English Club got even bigger this year! First, a great new
game called Pronunciation Pitfall was added to the club...

...and then the Hall of Fame for the first black belts was added
too. It’s the very first Hall of Fame built in any Woogi club!

6. Nutrition Games

After years of construction, it was a surprise to see 4 new
games added to the Nutrition Building: Nutrition Inquisition,
Nutri-Racer, Global Gourmet, and Vanquish Those Viruses!

5. Woogi Nations

The Woogi Nations building is a great place to learn more about
the countries and people of the world. Canada’s embassy is
the first to be part of Woogi Nations, but not the last!

4. Summer Splash 2012

Summer Splash 2012 had something for everyone! Exciting
events and prizes for Splash Adventure Club members...

...including games and activities inside the brand new
Splash Auditorium!

But don’t forget about fun new additions to Splash Camp like
YY’s Music Mart, where you could purchase DigiWoog songs...

...or the entertaining videos found at the WoogFlix tent!

3. Help Desk Tutorials

The Help Desk is a wonderfully useful addition to the Wigwam,
especially to help new Woogies learn how to play Woogi World!
Plus, Robo-Woog is a really cool droid!

2. Gift Cards

Woogi World gift cards help make it nice and easy to give
the gift of Woogi upgrades to anybody and everybody --
for birthdays, holidays, or just because!

And the number one Woogi item of the year is Woogi Mobile apps!
You can play these games on mobile devices like smart phones,
the iPod Touch, or tablets, so you can take Woogi World fun
with you wherever you go!

multiplayer games, like Woogilympics, making them more fun

The First Woogi Story Contest

Wally Woog read some incredible submissions in Woogi World’s
first ever story-writing contest. Everyone who entered won a
prize, but the 10 best stories won a free Little Riding Hood app!

 

Hide and Sneak (WHP Beta Test)

Lots of Woogi Honors members got to help test a brand new game
in 2012. It’s sure to make 2013’s Top 10 list once it is finished!
