The WWW of Woogi World

Oh boy, it's been a crazy few weeks for all of us here at Woogi World. It's not easy inventing stuff that no one else has done before. I guess if it was easy everyone would be doing it. What I'm referring to is our new Massive Multiplayer games within Woogi World - our new group games. This is a first in the whole world! and maybe even the universe :-0.

You all probably noticed we were having to do alot of testing and rebooting of servers with the Shark in the Water games. We really wanted to bring to you kids these Massive Multiplayer games to Woogi World - the ones that your parents used to play out on the streets when they were kids; but we had some serious problems with the whole Woogi World technology. A few times it looked like it just wasn't going to happen. I was getting pretty sad and just couldn't bear the thought of having to tell all you kids that we weren't going to have group games on Woogi World.

Well let me tell you about the WWW of Woogi World - Wiggenstein, Weegor and WigWatts. These guys are my heros! They refused to give up! One day Dr Wiggenstein worked in the lab for 30 hours straight - just to figure out a single problem! Can you imagine sitting in the same classroom doing the same thing for 30 hours - whoa! They worked and worked and worked in that lonely lab for 3 weeks straight until they finally got it all working.

Why did the WWW of WW work like this? It's certainly not because they're getting paid millions of Watts :-) - its because they care about providing a safe and fun place for you kids to be on the Internet. The Internet can be a very dangerous place if you haven't learned how to use it properly. Woogi World really is the Place for you to Be!

You know in these last few tough weeks many people would have just quit when things were getting tough for Woogi World - but because of WWW's commitment - they never gave up. What a great example for each one of us - never, never, never give up.

Now because of their determination we have three group games that are now up and running on Woogi World - Sharks in the Water, Red Light Green Light and Rocks Paper Scissors and alot more coming!

I need you to do two things for me:

1. when you see any of the WWW's on WW - give them a big thanks for making Woogi World such a great place and for not giving up.
2. Invite your friends to join Woogi World so they can be taught how to use the Internet properly (and have some fun as well)

Thanks for all your help - You kids are great!

Letter to all Kids and Parents

Hello all Children and Parents,

It's been a very exciting month for us all here at Woogi World. We officially opened up the new Service Center where kids can go and "check out" service activities to work on and learn about the value of service and the importance of getting off the computer and into the community. Once their service is completed they go to their new Woogi World Journal in the Family Center in their WigWam and report about what they did and how it worked. Once they do this they earn valuable service points that help them in their progression to higher levels in Woogi World. The Service Center and Journal are already making a big difference for these kids - they are starting to realize that you can have fun at a place like Woogi World and still do something good at home, school or in the community.

You won't find another kids site out there that does that!

We also launched a new Adventure - the Service Adventure! In it we teach kids through a series of four missions, with online and offline components, that service is a major benefit to all parties. They learn why service matters, the importance of personal service and serving in the community, and that you should always look for opportunities to serve anywhere and anytime.

The kids are loving this Adventure in Service!

The next major addition to Woogi World was a new type of kids online game - the MMOEG (Massive Multiplayer Online Educational Game). Its called Shark in the Water. This revolutionary game is the closest thing online to the types of group games we used to play as kids on our neighborhood streets - games that were fun, engaging and taught us alot about teamwork, problem solving, sportsmanship and how to get along with others.

Last week we did a pre-launch of this game so Dr Wiggenstein and Weegor could do some testing with alot of kids playing. For those of you that got to play, you can see that its going to be a great addition to the fun learning at Woogi World. We also apologize for the many times that we had to reload Woogi World as we were testing last week. You kids were great sports and real quick to get logged back on again!

The objective of this game is to teach kids how to Interact in a social environment and learn 21st Century life skill sets such as Communication Skills (kids will learn how to communicate quickly and effectively as they hunt or flee), Computer Use Skills (kids learn how to more effectively use the computer), Human Relationship Skills (team building practice), Problem Solving Skills (learning how not to get caught and how to catch), Science Skills (learning about the natural food chain in the oceans) and Teaching-Training Skills (kids will learn to teach other new kids how to play).

We have taken down the Shark game for further fine-tuning and will be putting it back up shortly.

Here at Woogi World you are just starting to see the revolutionary ways we will be helping you and your child navigate the "shark infested" waters we call the Internet.

There's so much more to tell you about that's coming this next month but I've taken up enough of your time. We'll fill you in on all those details in the next update.

Thanks kids for playing on Woogi World - and thank you, Parents and Guardians, for helping your child use the Internet properly to prepare themselves for the future.

Sincerely,

Big Wig

Survey Results Are In

Earth Agents! Thank you all for sharing your opinions in our survey to determine the next big thing you'd like to see in Woogi World. You've taught us a great deal about Earth kids and how much they love pets. I'll be meeting with Dr. Wiggenstein soon to discuss what you've told me in the survey.

In the meantime I'd like to come up with a name for our Woogi Pets. I've come up with a few ideas, and have created a new survey on the right side of the page to see which is your favorite. However, I'd like to hear your ideas! If you have a good idea for what our pets should be called, please leave it in a comment to this post.

Keep up the great work Earth Agents!

BigWig's Bad Day

Have you ever had one of those days? When everything seems to go wrong? Well I had one last week. I was on location with Dr W, Weegor, Mr WigWatts and WiggiWalker, doing some work on our new upcoming massive multiplayer game. (The only thing I can tell you about this awesome game is it has something to do with SHARKS! And you are going to absolutely love it!)

Well we had to get in real close to this Great White Shark to check out some things on his teeth. Now Dr W and the boys weren't too interested in getting into that water with that big ol nasty fish. Now if Wanda Wiggs had been there - well she would have jumped into that water in a flash. She is sooooo brave!

Seeing as though the other fellas were sitting there shaking in their boots - the BigWig stepped up and dove in with a beautiful swan dive. Well to make a long story short - here's a picture of what happened...

Now that was one nasty fish. He really wanted to eat me! - and If it hadn't been for my big hairy mustache tickling his tonsils and making him sneeze - I would have been BigWig shark food.

Whew that was a close one! I'm just happy to be alive - and with only a few shark teeth marks on my forehead.

So kids, when you have one of those days like I did the other day - and you're looking down into the belly of despair - just keep a positive attitude and things will get better.

Because thats what we do!

Guess the Building

Dr. Wiggenstein and Weegor are working on a new building, and I, Mr. Wigwatts, was able to get a sneak peak. When you have as many connections as I do, you get to see a lot of classified stuff like this. I believe the new building will be added very soon to Woogi World, but I'd like to see if anyone can guess what the purpose of the building will be?

Who knows, maybe if you get the answer correct, I'll throw some watts your direction. But I doubt anyone will be able to figure it out. I don't like giving away my watts!

The Real News of the Week

I know you're all pretty excited about the new home page that went up on Friday - we are too - its pretty cool. Yo.

But let me fill you in on the real news last week... the news that only our blog readers will know about.

Dr Wiggenstein and Mr WigWatts invited me over to the lab to work on a few things and before I knew it I had this thing-a-mijiggy in my hands - it was a Wii controller. Now I'd never played Wii before - but i could tell that Dr Wiggenstein sure had. Before I knew it he had the boxing game going and was laying a real beating on the poor ol' BigWig (I am 450 Woogyears old you know). Well he knocked me down a couple of times but I kept getting back up and then I knocked HIM down a couple of times. I got a bit of respect from Dr W and by golly he started to get a bit worried because he knew that the next knockdown would win the bout.

Well I won't bore you with the play by play except that I had him on the ropes and about to go down - and then Dr W burst out in a flurry of swings that reminded me of Yoda doing the Jedi Knight thing. Next thing I knew I was counting ceiling tiles and all I could hear was Mr WigWatts laughing out loud (lol).

HE WON!

What a fun time! Now of course I will demand a rematch in a few weeks and we'll let you know how it goes.

After a loss like that some people might want to spend hours and hours practicing in order to win - but not the BigWig. I also know that Dr W won't be spending much time on there either. You see it really doesn't matter who won or lost - what matters is that we both had alot of fun. Some people might spend hours and hours practicing in order to win next time. That's not necessary. Balanced kids don't spend too much time on video games and computers - there are so many more things to do rather than trying to get to the highest video game level.

Kids - it's cool to be balanced. Don't spend too much time gaming. Go outside and play with your friends. Get active.

You kids are great!

Being Good is COOL

Earth Agents!

Do you know how old I am? You're going to have to think about that for awhile - i'm pretty old. I'll let you all know on my post next week - ok.

Needless to say I've been around the galaxy a few times. Let me tell you one thing that has always puzzled me in my travels - people thinking they are cool by doing bad things - NOOOOOTTTTT!!!!

Let me tell you how it really is - people who do good things are the cool ones!

We've seen some people on Woogi World trying to say or do bad things and thinking they are cool. Well this is what we need to do with those "Un Cool People" - when you see a Woogi acting "Un Cool" - just say to them "Un Cool" because thats exactly what they are - "Un Cool".

Cool people do good things and "Un Cool" people do bad things. So our job on Woogi World is to try and help everyone "Be Cool". So go spread the word!

Good Luck Earth Agents!

Let Your Voice Be Heard

The BigWig and the other leaders in Woogi World are working hard to make it the place to be for kids on the Internet. We have big plans, but know that kids and parents are the real experts. Please share your thoughts and ideas for Woogi World with us. Leave a comment, we'd love to hear what you have to say!

Woogi Salon Now Open!

A big thanks to Dr Wiggenstein and Wigor who recently completed work on our new salon. The salon allows all Woogies to change their hair, eyes, and mouth. It also allows you to pick what color die you would like on your hair.

The feedback from all the Woogies has been very positive and the BigWig is calling this building a huge success. Stay tuned for more exciting features in the upcoming months! There is a lot happening and Dr Wiggenstein and Wigor are working overtime to add new things based on your feedback.

We'd also like to welcome our newest business owner, Wanda Wiggs to Woogi World. She is excited to meet all the Woogies and help them get that new look they have been waiting for. Here is a picture of me getting a little trim. Unfortunately she couldn't do much with the top.

Just Do it

Woogi World is "The Place to Be" for every elementary school kid on the whole planet Earth.

The Woogies in Woogi World need to be trained how to use the Internet properly. This is your Mission - Earth Agent.

If you don't do it - THEN WHO WILL???

We need every good Earth kid to immediately get onto Woogi World and get training.

JUST DO IT!

EARTH AGENTS: Your Mission Should You Choose to Accept It Is...

You must go to Woogi World and adopt a Woogi to care for and train how to properly use the Internet. If the Woogies start doing bad things on the Internet, they will be in danger from bad forces such as Count Weevil and many others!!!

Your mission is to train your Woogi how to balance their life by doing good things both on and off the computer. You will train your Woogi to use the Internet to learn how to be good, to connect with family and friends, and how to serve in their community.

The future of Woogi World (and even Earth) depends on how well you and your Woogi learn these great skills!

Good luck Earth Agent!

To begin your mission you and your parent or guardian must go to www.woogiworld.com.

What is Woogi World?

What is Woogi World? I thought you'd never ask!

Here's the story...

Years ago on the planet Wigg, a terrible Wiggi named Wiggus Weev tried to take over the world. But we captured him and sent him to a far-away galaxy. For many years he has been gathering followers so he can return with them and finish his evil plan. These followers now call him Count Weevil.

To stop Count Weevil's evil plan, we gathered our best and brightest Wiggies, including Dr. Wiggenstein, Weegor, and Mr. Wigwatts, and prepared for his arrival. Instead of trying to fight Count Weevil directly, we sent all wiggies to safety on the nearby planet Woog, and set a trap for Count Weevil on the planet Wigg. As soon as Count Weevil arrived, we used the Internet to activate a forcefield around the planet Wigg to hold him and his followers there.

Count Weevil has discovered how we trapped him, and he's angrier than ever. But our Internet technologies should hold him there. The Wiggi you adopted on the planet Wigg is now safe in a new home on planet Woog. We have all decided to take the new name of Woogi in honor of our new home.
